Wart Removal – The Best Treatment
Warts, which may commonly develop on our hands, fingers, and feet, are skin infections caused by a virus named human papillomavirus or HPV. ? People may use duct tape in removing their warts. They have to put a small piece of it to the infected part and do it again and again until the warts are gone.
? Some over-the-counter (OTC) medicines contain salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is keratolytic, so it will dissolve the proteins of the warts making it smaller for the time being. This treatment is painful. It may cause allergies and irritations to our skin. It would also takes a lot of time before the warts would be perfectly removed. Meanwhile, over-the-counter medicines that do not contain salicylic acids may not be hurtful when applied to children. It may just take a couple of weeks before their warts would be gone.
? Cauterization and laser surgery may also be an option. Local anesthetic is usually injected, for the
patient not to be hurt. This operation is often expensive. Additional to that, it may leave scars after the performance.
? Freezing of warts and putting liquid nitrogen to the infected parts are the duties when cryotherapy is being performed. This operation brings a discomfort feeling and may still continue several days after the operation has been made.
Patients may do any of these methods, whichever they prefer. Wart removal is a must and there are many methods on how to do it, whether it is the traditional ways or the modern techniques.
Due to the fact that home treatments are safer and more effective, people tend not to try the modern treatments because those are not just expensive, but it may also leave scars on their skins.
