Flat Wart Removal – A Step by Step Guide

Warts are ugly skin growths that are caused by a human papillomavirus or HPV.  Children are commonly afflicted by warts which may usually grow on the face, elbows, hands, or knees.  They can be flat or somewhat raised and they often come out in clusters.  Flat warts don’t cause cancer, but they can easily be spread through contact.

Here’s an easy to follow guide to flat wart removal:

Step1

The quickest way to prevent flat warts from spreading is by not picking on them. Picking on your warts will only spread them to other areas of your body which are not infected.

Step2

Check out your local drug store and get an over-the-counter medicine that can be used to treat flat warts. Normally, the composition of these medicines includes a chemical that dries up the outer portion of skin which makes it easier to peel it off.

Step3

If the warts still prove to be bothersome and annoying, schedule an appointment with your doctor. He can either freeze or burn the warts off, or hand you a prescription for medication that will best treat your warts.

Step4

If your prescription gets to be costly and impractical, you can always do your own research and check some alternative treatments.   For starters, you can tape a small piece of the inside of a banana peel to the wart and sleep with it nightly for two weeks straight.  You can also make a paste from crushed vitamin C tablets by adding a little water and applying it directly to the wart for two weeks. Another thing that you may try is placing some crushed or sliced garlic on the wart for a week while sleeping.

Step5

If all else fails, just wait for your flat warts to go away.  When the warts are left alone, most of them will disappear on their own within two years.

Just remember that the secret to flat wart removal is persistence.  Don’t get tired of continuing the treatment until all traces of the wart infection are gone.  Always use fresh towels and washcloths when bathing and drying off.  Since this is caused by a virus that can easily be spread, you can as easily re-infect yourself as well.    To be on the safe side, it is best to consider checking everyone in your household for warts so that you can treat everyone at once and help prevent re-infection.

Another great idea is to add vitamin C to your diet as supplements.  It is beneficial as it helps give your immune system the extra strength to fight viral and bacterial infections of all sorts.

Bear in mind that the goal here is to catch your warts in its early stages.  Flat wart removal will be quicker this way, and it will be a lot less likely to return. Take note, however, that when a wart is more pronounced or overly large, or show signs that it has already established itself on your skin, the treatment can take longer and can be a real pain.  So nip it at the bud while you still can!

Quick Wart Removal Guide

A wart is an abnormal and ugly growth on the skin surface caused by a human papillomavirus and may appear either on the face, hands, legs, soles of the feet, and even on the genital area, depending on type of virus causing the wart. Being caused by a virus, it can affect men and women on an individual basis since not everyone’s immune system responds the same way.

Sometimes, warts can be mistaken for moles.  But unlike moles, warts are generally harmless and non-cancerous. They have a tendency to disappear on their own in time, but most people afflicted with warts seek quick wart removal since having warts can prove to be bothersome and sometimes embarrassing. But it is a wise move to take action early on, rather than waiting for themit to vanish, because warts are contagious and can even spread on other parts of your body or worse, can spread to other people through skin-to-skin contact or mere usage of things that have been in contact with an infected skin. Unfortunately, even though you may be successful in eradicating the appearance of warts, they are known to reappear after treatment and may rear its ugly head constantly like a plague.

Here are a few quick wart removal tips that you may want to try whenever the skin problem erupts:

7.  Another trick is placing a slice of garlic on the warts before going to bed. Do this repeatedly for about a week observe the positive change.

8.  Cryosurgery is a common treatment for the fast removal of warts. But this should be done after consulting a doctor since the severity of the warts must be evaluated first before opting for surgery.

Hand Wart Removal- Your Ultimate Guide

Hand warts are a skin affliction and are the most common type of warts a person can get. They are formed when the Human Papilloma Virus gets into the skin through cuts on the epidermis. Hand warts can appear on the fingers or the palm and are small round rough patches. If treated properly, hand warts needn’t be too much of a problem.

There are several methods of hand wart removal. Natural means use vegetables, fruits or oils that are readily found at home. These are the most inexpensive treatments and pose the least risks since there is no surgery or incision involved.

Vegetables, fruits and natural oils are some of the most common treatments under the natural method. Garlic is an especially effective treatment; rubbing a sliced clove of garlic on the affected area can help remove the wart in a few weeks. Potatoes are also effective hand wart removal treatments. Rubbing a slice of potato on the wart for 30 minutes and doing this twice a day can help remove the wart as well.

Rubbing a banana peel on a wart also promises to remove a wart in the quickest possible time. Aloe is a common houseplant that has been renowned for it’s many benefits. The use of Aloe extract or Aloe sap has been proven to help remove warts as well as reduce discomfort brought on my warts. It promotes faster healing and softens the skin.

Tea tree oil and Vitamin E oil also help the skin and heal the wart, removing it in a few weeks. It is recommended that a pumice stone or emery board be used to file the wart and soften it in between applications of any of these methods.

Hand wart removal using over-the-counter products are also safe but a bit more expensive than natural methods. Plasters containing salicylic acid or a concentrated salicylic acid solution has been proven to help get rod of warts in a short amount of time. Salicylic acid is an extract from a medicinal plant, and like Aloe, is known for it’s many benefits to the skin and body. Salicylic acid helps heal the wart. When using plasters, it softens the wart, making it easier to remove. When using the solution that is directly applied on the wart, the wart dries out after a while, and the skin heals well.

Hand wart removal using surgery is an option for warts which are persistent and cannot be removed easily. This can be done upon the recommendation of your dermatologist, and there are several ways of doing so. The most common method is to freeze the wart off. Again, however, this depends upon the recommendation of your dermatologist.

Removing hand warts can take up to 12 weeks, depending on the type of wart. Even if you can try home remedies to get rid of it, it is best to consult a skin doctor is you find that the warts are recurring or taking longer than usual to disappear despite treatment. Remember that warts are nothing to be embarrassed about, and treating it is quick, easy and painless.
